Robocop is a Cylon

MGM are currently touting this teaser poster in relation to their forthcoming remake. This is aimed at licensees for toys etc. and the film is still at an early stage of department. Therefore this image may well not represent the final look of Robocop in the film. Which is good, because he looks like a smirking Battlestar Galactica reject. More importantly, the original film is great and still hold up today, making this redo officially pointless.

Has the full title Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen. Rather than a reference to those characters killed in the first film, CHUD.COM and other soures suggest that the Fallen is actually a character within the film

Variety reports the writers of Shrek 2 and 3 will be penning a big screen adaptation of the Smurfs.


No word as to whether Pappa Smurf (left) will make an appearance, or whether he is too busy in his role as chairman of Leeds United.

What Just Happened?

The Russian version of this was doing the rounds a few weeks ago, but Apple new have the english language version of the red band trailer for wanted here.

Atari

Leonardo Di Caprio will produce and star in a biopic of Nolan Bushnell, one of the founders of Atari computers, and creator of 'Pong'. Bushnell is one of the most important historical figures in what is now a multi billion dollar industry, and the rise and fall of Atari certainly has cinematical potential. As long as Uwe Boll doesnt sign on to direct, this could be one to watch.
